Grounding, Centering, Connecting
One of the greatest hardships of our times is the degree to which we have become isolated from connection to all that might support us. Meditation is a powerful way to gather the attention of the mind and presence the sensations of our bodies. But what if we didn't stop there? Let's deepen and begin to notice the web of life in which we are held: the lands where we live, the trees outside our windows, the ancestors below us. |
Ancestral Tending
Many--if not most--of our most entrenched patterns and stumbling blocks did not begin with our individual lives. Likewise, the roots of our greatest resiliencies and gifts extend from origins that we may not even fathom. Tending to the ancestors is another way that we can undo our sense of aloneness with our problems. There are many ways that these themes can be explored--beyond blood or even known ancestors. Together we can listen for what might serve you. |
Generative Trancework
Our minds have the ability to enter into states of absorption. We can learn to work with trance states intentionally to support goals for creative change. Trance can be a wonderful tool to work with your stories, especially when you feel stuck and in need of a way to connect to generativity. |
Healing Ritual
For some of us, just talking about issues can have limited effect. Many of us come from cultural and/or spiritual traditions in which ritual is part of transformative processes. Ritual has the power of incorporating more of the physical senses and consolidating change. I am happy to work with you to create ritual when it resonates as part of our ongoing therapeutic work together. I have experience with Mexican traditional healing practices.
